A series of four intensive training weeks is about to begin within the ENRICHER hubs project. The aim of the trainings is to increase and update the competence of sustainable tourism and service design in the universities of the target countries of the project. The first training will take place in Kutaisi, Georgia, at the beginning of October.
The project will offer a series of trainings for tourism teachers from partner universities in Georgia and Moldova. Each university in Georgia and Moldova involved in the project will have three participants in the trainings – a total of 18 participants from the three universities in each country. The participants are the same in each training. The four-day trainings will consist of lectures, workshops, and discussions. Participants will also be introduced to various sustainable development and service design theories, models, and tools.
The first training will take place as early as the beginning of October in Kutaisi, Georgia, with sustainable tourism as the subject. The trainers include experts from Haaga-Helia, MCI and UniGE. The intensive training days also include two destination visits.
The next training section will be in November, and it will cover the possibilities of service design in the development of sustainable tourism. The participants will learn about the models and versatile tools of service design, which can be used, for example, to develop tourism products, services and destinations into the most responsible ones. The third training will take place in January 2025 in the Moldovan city of Comrat. The training will take the form of Design Sprint, and the participants will be able to test the methods of service design in practice. The fourth and final training relates to entrepreneurial skills and will take place in February 2025.
The first and third trainings are carried out on the spot, while the second and last trainings are online implementations.
