Working Meeting on Tourism Development in ATU Gagauzia

People in the stakeholder meeting

Professors of the Department of Economics and students of the programme “Hotel Services, Tourism and Leisure” at Comrat State University (Republic of Moldova) participated in a discussion on the prospects for developing the tourism potential of ATU Gagauzia and its strategic role in shaping the future of tourism in the Republic of Moldova with regional stakeholders.

CSU’s participation takes place within the framework of the ENRICHER Hub project, which is integrated into the regional tourism development system and aims to strengthen cooperation between the university, business and public authorities, develop students’ professional competences, and promote innovative and sustainable solutions in the tourism sector.

An active role in shaping the sectoral agenda and promoting initiatives aimed at modernising the tourism sector belongs to the National Tourism Platform and the Employers’ Association of the Tourism Industry of the Republic of Moldova (Asociația Patronală a Industriei Turismului din Republica Moldova). During the discussion, moderated by the Association’s President Sergiu Manea, particular emphasis was placed on involving CSU students in regional tourism development processes. Future professionals had the opportunity to interact directly with representatives of the tourism industry, public authorities and профиль organisations, ask professional questions and discuss real mechanisms of the tourism market.

The meeting presented the concept of the National Tourism Platform and the logic of its development in line with modern European tourism management practices. Special attention was given to instruments for stimulating domestic tourism, including the introduction of the holiday voucher system. The event brought together representatives of academia, business and professional associations, fostering constructive dialogue and a shared vision for further tourism development.
